Charging of Penalties              
 
1. Overdue returns under the general collections will be charge per day of $1.00 and will be in a maximum charging of $50.00 per item.
2. Overdue returns classified as Short Loan Period Collections like the new acquisitions will be charge per day of $3.00 and will be in a maximum charging of $50.00 per item.
3. Any overdue borrowings will be given a span of one month to return; if the borrower was not able to comply on retuning it, the resource will be considered lost and needs to pay the replacement cost of the resource and the maximum penalty of $50.00.
4. All lost or damaged resources will be charge with a replacement cost based on the amount of the resource when it was purchased. The overdue amount the was accumulated will be charge as well before the borrower have reported the incident or settle the amount that needs to be paid.
5. An additional processing fee of $10.00 will be added on lost or damaged resources aside form the replacement cost given.

Process           
    
1. The PRC staff will determine the outstanding amount of the borrower that has any penalties based on the date due given for the borrowing and the corresponding report given by the Library database management.
2. Each borrower that has any corresponding amount that reach its maximum amount given in the rulings will be put on hold for any library services such as borrowing or reservation of resources.
3. The PRC will coordinate with the Finance department on the corresponding borrowers that has outstanding balance in the penalties being implied by the department through a generated report.
4. The PRC will not sign any clearances unless any outstanding amount and unreturned resources have been cleared by the concerned party.
