Interviews can often be intimidating, especially your first one. At ICMS we want to get to know you and learn why you want to study here. To help you prepare here are some of my tips for a successful interview
-
Google it- Do your research. This shows interest and knowledge of the industry and course.
-
Be natural. Sincerity is impossible to fake.
-
Take your time - A slight pause allows you to think through your answer. This shows poise and maturity.
-
Keep it simple - Don’t over think your answers. Sometimes the simple response is the best one.
-
Look AMAZING- Remember the power of a first impression.
-
Be Firm - A weak handshake is a deal breaker.
-
Be Aware- Body language is very important. Make sure you remember EYE CONTACT!
-
Stay cool- It is hard but try not to be nervous. Remember, the interviewer is probably nervous too.
-
Be engaged – Turn the tables on your interviewer and ask them a few questions.
-
Have fun - There is a difference between serious and professional. SMILE!
Good Luck!
