ICMS alumna Annelise Grosman’s marketing career got a head start when she was placed in the Sydney branch of multinational company Just Global – while still a student.
Having recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), Annelise is now working fulltime at Just Global as an Executive, Client Services.
Just Global is an award-winning, global marketing agency headquartered in San Francisco.
“We’ve been partnering with ICMS for over two years, and it has been a great resource for us to find enthusiastic talent looking to get into their first marketing role,” Just Global Senior Vice President, Client Services (Asia-Pacific) Felippe Diaz said.
“Annelise has taken everything she learned in her studies and applied it really well to the corporate world, which in turn has helped Just Global to further grow our business locally.
“We are excited to have Annelise join us full-time and can’t wait to see her future growth.”
Thinking back on her ICMS experience, Annelise gives a lot of credit to the college’s supportive ethos for helping her succeed.
“Not only did ICMS provide me with the knowledge to take into my career, but the college also led to the job I currently hold at Just Global. I joined the team during my Work Integrated Learning placement, and this turned into a permanent role,” Annelise said.
A highlight of Annelise’s education was earning the Wotif Scholarship, which is part of the ICMS Professional Scholarship Program.
“The leading factor for me starting my studies at ICMS was the Wotif Scholarship,” she said.
“Reflecting on my time, I can truly say that I would recommend the college to anyone seeking higher education.”
Just like Annelise, 96% of the ICMS Class of 2024 had jobs upon graduation thanks to the college’s hands-on, real-world learning approach that truly sets students up for success.
“Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to learn from some very supportive lecturers, along with the chance to collaborate with some wonderful peers whom I believe will do great things wherever they may end up,” she said.
“I am beyond excited to see what the future holds.”
The ICMS Bachelor of Business (Marketing) program played a crucial role in preparing Annelise for the marketing industry.
The curriculum includes 26 subjects in core business and specialised marketing.
What truly sets this program apart is its emphasis on real-world assessments and industry connections, a blend that ensures students like Annelise are industry ready upon graduation.
The program’s focus on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) was particularly beneficial.
By including professional placements in the curriculum, ICMS helped Annelise gain valuable industry experience.
This also allowed her to build a network of connections that would be important for her career.
The hands-on approach meant she could apply classroom theories directly to her role at Just Global, transitioning seamlessly from student to professional.
