The city campus is located in Sydney's golden triangle in the heart of the financial district, next to Governor Phillip and Macquarie Towers, the new 1 Bligh Street and in close proximity to Chifley Tower, Aurora Place and Deutsche Bank Place, which houses many of Australia's top corporate head offices.

Select postgraduate subjects are offered in the contemporary training and executive education centre, a vibrant and innovative learning environment. The city campus, established by the University of New South Wales, has expansive classrooms, modern and quiet study areas, and complimentary refreshment facilities. Postgraduate classes are held in the city and at the Northern Beaches Campus. This is timetable dependent

The location offers students a short walk to Wynyard, Circular Quay and Martin Place stations and easy vehicle access to the Cahill Expressway and the Eastern Distributor. The botanical gardens and many cafes, bars and restaurants are all within close proximity, ensuring that students have everything they require at their fingertips.

Access to Building

Doors at street level are open until 6.30pm. If you arrive after this time, please press UNSW on the keypad and the manager on duty will open the doors.

On Arrival

Please check in at Reception on level 6 and show your ICMS Student Card before going to your classroom on level 7. Quiet rooms (maximum six students) are available for study at no cost. Students must book syndicate rooms 24 hours in advance by calling 9931 9451.

Library facilities

The nearest libraries are both five minutes’ walk from the city campus.

• State Library of NSW - Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm

• Customs House Library (opposite Circular Quay wharves) - Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm

Business Centre

Computers are available for use in the level 6 business centre. Passwords are located on the wall.


Refreshments (tea, coffee, mineral water, mints) are available in the dining area on scheduled class afternoons and nights.


Limited printing is available at the Student Services office on request. Note: fees may apply. 


You may bring your own food to eat in the dining area on level 7. There are also several cafes within walking distance of the venue.

Business casual attire.

You will be given an account to access the wi-fi network before classes begin.

Getting to the City Campus

Getting there on foot:

The venue is five minutes’ walk from either Circular Quay or Wynyard train station.

  • From Wynyard train station - take the George Street exit, walk across the road to Hunter Street heading east. Turn left onto O’Connell Street at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel.
  • From Circular Quay train station - Head south on Loftus Street towards Customs House, cross over Bridge Street. Turn left onto Bent Street, then make your way right to O’Connell Street.
