Understanding and developing a strong, positive corporate culture is essential in addressing complex business challenges, maximising organisational performance, and enhancing the value of an organisation.
In this subject, culture is explored as a core element of business, management, and leadership. The subject will equip students with a deep understanding of how culture is formed, the ways in which it can be measured and an appreciation for when culture change might be required.
By carrying out a leadership, values, goals and interest self-analysis, students explore the impact of leadership on organisational culture and performance, anticipating ways in which their leadership approach might impact the culture of organisations they are involved in. Moreover, students explore the impact organisational culture has on both team and individual performance and development.
