A head start for career-minded students

Early Entry is an alternate entry pathway designed for high-achieving HSC students who want to secure a place at ICMS before sitting their final exams.

To apply for Early Entry, you must meet the following criteria:

  • intend to start your studies in February 2026
  • are seeking an early offer (prior to your Year 12 final exams)
  • are currently in your final year of high school
  • are an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.

If Early Entry doesn’t sound like the right alternate entry pathway for you, we also have the Elite Athlete and Performer Program and the Leadership Entry Program. You can also submit an application directly with ICMS.

How To Apply For Early Entry

Step 1: Fill out the form

Apply for Early Entry using the form on this page.

Step 2: Gather your supporting documents

Your ICMS Student Advisor will contact you to request the following documents:

1) Personal Statement

Write a 1,000-word statement outlining:

  • why you have applied to ICMS
  • how your chosen course will help you achieve your career goals
  • any work or volunteering experience, or extra-curricular activities, that might support your application
  • your achievements
  • anything else that makes you an outstanding applicant.

2) Academic Results

  • Year 11 academic results
  • Year 12 Semester 1 results OR trial HSC results.

3) Identification

Copy of your passport or birth certificate.

4) Letter of Recommendation from a Career Advisor, Principal or Year Coordinator

We will request this directly from your school.

Step 3: Prepare for your interview

We will conduct Early Entry interviews with applicants during September 2025.

Step 4: Get an offer

We’ll let you know the outcome of your application. If successful, you will receive an Early Entry place in your chosen ICMS bachelor’s degree before you sit your HSC exams.
