Social life

ICMS draws students from all over the world attracted by our reputation as a vibrant social community with incredible student experiences. The diverse student body remains committed to staying connected via formal and informal social activities, both on and off campus. The Student Experience Team provides various levels of support and encourage you to step outside of your comfort zone and make use of opportunities that come your way - recognising that life rewards action!

SRC organised social activities
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) strives to improve and maintain the quality of student life for our entire student body. Elected by their peers, the SRC acts as an advocate for the student body with the SRC President holding a position on a variety of committees within the College to ensure that the student voice is being heard. The SRC also works with the Student Experience team to plan and organise a range of social activities, including major events such as our College Icebreaker and themed events such as cocktail and movie nights.

The SRC also represents students views on academic issues to the College as well as support and represent the body in any possible way. This not only gives students the forum to voice their views, but also gives the College valuable feedback when planning for the future.

Cultural activities
Our SRC holds special events such as Oktoberfest, Thanksgiving and Asian Noodle Market nights. For the classically minded, there are opportunities to attend concerts and plays in Sydney theatres, open-air venues and even the Sydney Opera House.

Student Clubs and Associations
There are many associations and student groups that you can sign up to straight away and be a part of, such as the Green Team, Acts of Random Kindness Association (ARK) and the Asian Students Association. Get in touch with the SRC team to find the best way to get involved.

The Living Water Group, run by our Reverend, offers spiritual understanding and fun.

Student volunteering
ICMS encourages students to volunteer within ICMS and the local community. There is a range of activities that students can volunteer their time for throughout the term. Students are rewarded with a volunteer certificate upon conclusion of the event.

For other local activities that you can participate in, have a look at the Manly Tourism Explore 4 brochure.
