ICMS Faculty Member Nominated for Women in Travel Award

For the second year running, Juliet Hudson of International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) has been nominated in the Mentor of the Year category of the prestigious Women in Travel Awards.

The 2018 Women in Travel Awards will take the form of a gala cocktail event which will be held on June 21 at the Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf. Juliet, Event Management and International Tourism Head of Program at ICMS, was nominated in the same category in 2017, and this year there are eight nominees in total in the Mentor of the Year category. In this category, the judges look for individuals who have mentored and championed women within their organisation. Women in Travel Awards categories include Marketer of the Year, Social Media, PR of the Year and the Rising Star Award, among others.

Juliet has more than 25 years’ experience in the event, hospitality and tourism sectors, in Australia and internationally. With a background in management roles with Accor and Dockside group, she currently runs EventED, a venue marketing and training consultancy and has worked with a diverse range of clients including World Youth Day, Bob Wood Travel Group, Hard Rock Café, the American Club Sydney and Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji.

At ICMS, a leading higher education institute located on the Northern Beaches, Sydney, NSW, Juliet lectures in the event, hospitality and tourism departments. In addition to her role as Academic Program Coordinator, Juliet lectures in Event Operations and Logistics, Tourism Attractions and Resort Operations, Hospitality and Marketing.

The Women in Travel Awards celebrates and recognises exceptional women in travel, those who lead, innovate and who mentor the next generation. This is the third year of Women in Travel Awards existence, and it aims to recognise exceptional women who have achieved success in their professional arenas and to celebrate their invaluable contribution to the industry.
