First 50% Postgraduate Alumni Bursary Awarded

First 50% Postgraduate Alumni Bursary Awarded

October 11, 2019

International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) student Mirana Neuilly is thrilled to be the first recipient of the ICMS Postgraduate Alumni Bursary – which means her postgraduate studies are already half paid for.

French national Neuilly will undertake an ICMS Master of International Business as a further step towards a career in the exports and imports industry.

“I applied (for the ICMS Postgraduate Alumni Bursary) because I heard I was eligible and -50% for a whole master’s degree sounded unbelievable so I wanted to take a chance. When I found out I was successful I was thrilled and thought I was very lucky. Master degrees can be very costly so being awarded this bursary was a blessing,” Neuilly said.

“The duration of this course is 18 months of class and six months of industry training. The main benefits of the bursary are that you pay half price for quality courses in a renowned college and get the prospect of getting six months experience in one of the great companies that ICMS is in partnership with…. After my Master degree I would like to start my career as a relationship manager for a company that does import-export because I have always been attracted by the international aspect.”

The ICMS Postgraduate Alumni Bursary is a new bursary offered by the college to students who have studied at undergraduate level through ICMS. The bursary takes the form of a 50% reduction in fees at Master’s degree level, is applied for the full term of the degree, and is available to both international and domestic students who have completed an undergraduate degree at ICMS.

Post-graduate degrees and courses are offered at both the ICMS Main Campus in Manly, Northern Beaches, NSW, and at the ICMS City Campus located in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

The following courses fall under the eligibility of the ICMS Postgraduate Alumni Bursary: Master of International Business; Master of Management (Tourism and Hospitality); Master of Management; Master of Event Management; Graduate Certificate in Event Management; and Graduate Certificate of Business.

Neuilly completed her ICMS Bachelor of Business Management in 2018. As an international student, the Australian award-winning higher education institute was recommended to her “by Go Study Australia as a college that is similar to private colleges in France”.

“To ICMS students thinking of applying for the Alumni Bursary I would tell them to not hesitate because it is an amazing opportunity and I think it is really worth it,” she said.

The ICMS Postgraduate Alumni Bursary is the latest in a comprehensive range of scholarship opportunities for new and current students, from industry and ICMS-sponsored professional scholarships to tuition fee, accommodation and financial hardship scholarships.
