November 6, 2024

Their answers highlighted ICMS as the ideal choice.

In today’s world, education needs to match industry needs. The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is a leader in offering a focused academic experience.

Recent survey findings from a study of 510 prospective students* reveal what truly matters to those looking to pursue higher education, and ICMS excels in meeting these priorities.

What Prospective Students Want From Higher Education

Career-Focused Education (95.2%)

A staggering 95.2% of respondents ranked career-focused education as their top priority. ICMS understands that students want to equip themselves with the necessary skills to thrive in their chosen careers.

Practical Experience and Internships (97.7%)

The majority, at 97.7%, emphasised the importance of gaining real-world experience through internships. ICMS integrates practical training with academic learning as part of the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, ensuring students are job-ready upon graduation.

Job Opportunities After Graduation (95.9%)

Impressively, 95.9% of students ranked job opportunities after graduation as a priority. In March 2023, the entire graduating cohort at ICMS had a job after graduation. ICMS has strong ties with industry, helping students find jobs and giving them an advantage in the job market.

Personalised Learning Experience (90.8%)

Around 90% of prospective students value a personalised learning experience. ICMS caters to individual learning styles and needs, fostering a nurturing, mentoring environment where students can flourish.

Small Class Sizes (96.7%)

With 96.7% of respondents preferring small class sizes, ICMS stands out by offering intimate classroom settings that promote collaboration between students and instructors.

Free Campus Parking (97.8%)

An unexpected but welcomed find was that 97.8% of students consider free campus parking an important factor. ICMS recognises its students’ logistical needs and makes it easy and convenient to access the campus.

Social Life and Community (87.1%)

87.1% of students said that having an active social life and a sense of community are important in their education. ICMS fosters a rich campus culture that encourages social interactions and community engagement.

With these results, it’s not surprising that 70% of people surveyed are interested in studying at ICMS after learning about what the school offers.

Supporting Student Well-Being

In addition to these priorities, ICMS recognises the pressures faced by students, especially during critical academic periods, even before they enter higher education.

To support students coping with Year 12 exam stress, ICMS introduced StudyTok, an initiative designed to provide students with tools and resources to handle anxiety and enhance their study techniques.

By leveraging social media platforms like TikTok, StudyTok creates a supportive community where students can share advice, learn from one another, and access helpful strategies tailored to their needs.

ICMS is focused on producing industry-ready graduates and offering personalised experiences.

This, along with initiatives like StudyTok to support mental well-being, mean ICMS is not just an educational institution; it is a launchpad for future leaders ready to excel in their fields.
